Gourmandise School of Sweets and Savories

I couldn’t resist when Amy invited me to attend a cooking class with her. Even better that it was a desserts class AND French desserts at that. I personally love pot de creme so I figured it was about time I learned how to make them. Besides, attending culinary school is on my bucket list and this is a good place as any to begin.

Roll out pastry dough, place it atop of the apples, then bake, flip, and consume

We also made fruit tarts with sweet pastry dough and vanilla pastry cream which we learned how to make in class. The experience was so much fun and Clemence was a wonderful instructor. We each got to take home a big box filled with every dessert we made that evening. They offer a wide variety of classes and I’m hoping to attend several more when my wedding season quiets down a little. In the mean time, I’m still enjoying the desserts…in fact, I’m indulging in the mousse now. Yummmmm.
