HELP! HOW DO YOU DE-STRESS?

f637b38be28c6e6c03152b7fc457a76e HELP! HOW DO YOU DE STRESS?

The needle on my emotional scale has definitely been leaning more towards “stressed” than “peaceful” lately. I hate to sound like I’m complaining (because I swear I’m not), but things have been really crazy this year and at times overwhelming. Not all of it bad, though. Actually most of it is good…great, even. But there have been moments when all I wanted to do was get into my pjs, curl up in a ball on the couch and watch reruns of Gilmore Girls while stuffing my face with chocolate. Unfortunately, just because you give stress the cold shoulder doesn’t mean it will go away. I promised myself that I wouldn’t get burned out again like I did last year so I’ve been trying to find more ways to center myself, so to speak. When I feel like I’m ready to yank my hair out, I’ll go for a walk with Bruno, grab a camera and do some personal shooting, or do something around the house – anything to get my mind of it for awhile.

But I need more ideas cuz these will only take me so far and sometimes they don’t always cut it.

So, dear readers and friends, please help this gal before I have bald patches…what do you do to de-stress?

  • I too have many of those moments during peak season! Going out for great food and doing fun things in between like concerts, shopping, and mini getaways has kept me sane. Also, I’ve been getting back into working out (kick boxing, zumba classes are awesome and fun) and never fail to make me feel much better afterwards :) So, pretty much yummy food and exercise!
