I work from home and even though I could roll out of bed and go straight to my desk in my pajamas, I still like to look put together (I like to think our Shih Tzu Miles appreciates this). Unless I have a shoot, meeting, or appointment, I don’t like to wear a full face of makeup and prefer a very simple, natural look I can do in 5 minutes.
I always start out with a moisturizer. I have really dry skin and when I got pregnant my skin became even drier. I’m a big fan of skin oils for this reason and one that has been in constant roatation for a long time is the Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil. At night I apply this under my favorite moisturizer and during the day I apply a thin layer before I apply my face makeup. It’s really helped rescue my dry skin and when I wake up my skin feels soft and smooth.
One of my recent discoveries is the Honest Beauty’s Tinted Moisturizer. I wear it in Honestly Nectar and the color matches my skin tone perfectly. It’s moisturizing without being greasy (I don’t even need to apply loose powder over it) and it has SPF 20. It also doesn’t have a cloying fragrance and I feel good knowing the ingredients are more natural than most other products out there.
I then do a quick sweep of the Bare Minerals Bronzer in The High Dive across my cheeks, temples, and nose, apply gel eyeliner and mascara, and finish off the look with my current favorite pinky nude lip gloss, Kind Kiss by Honest Beauty.
That’s it! This is my typical everyday look. Once in awhile I may switch it up with a bolder lip if I have to run out the door for an unexpected coffee or lunch meeting.
Hope you found this helpful and let me know if you have any questions about any of them! If you decide to try any of these products, I’d love to hear what you think!
P.S. Honest Beauty has a bundle program which is pretty awesome. It’s $50 for 3 products and considering most of their products costs $20+ this is a great deal. I also love the Honey Kiss Lip Crayon and the Magic Balm.
P.S. I’m wearing Husband’s sweater from Zara Men.
