Editing: Before & After

I don’t think I need to disclose the fact that the majority of my photos you see on this site have been processed in Photoshop and don’t come out looking that way from my camera. Despite what I post on this site, I actually don’t process all my photos in my “vintage” style. Many of the photos I take for myself or photos that aren’t commissioned by clients are left alone. So I thought I’d show you a couple before and afters so you can see that I don’t always see “vintage” through my looking glass. ;)

These were shot at the L.A. Arboretum in Arcadia. I was there last Friday to check the light and map out the location again for Patty & Ellis’s upcoming wedding.

When it comes to editing shots of flowers, I like to convey a dreamy, ethereal feel. That’s just me.

I love these little flowers. I don’t know what they’re called but they’re smaller than my thumbnail.

Don’t you want to lay in a field of flowers and just dream the day away? Yes? Cool. That’s what I was going for. haha
Flowers are one of my favorite things to photograph because I find it so relaxing. Some call it boring, I call it peaceful.
Hope this gave you a different insight into my work. If not, then I hope you enjoyed the pretty flowers. :)
