It’s so nice to meet you!

I’m Nina Lance and I am a wife, first-time-mom, photographer, and dreamer. I’m obsessed with ice cream, fine point Japanese pens, and making lists. Oh, and HGTV (shiplap for EVERYONE!).

Love & Lemonade was a dream that came to life back in August 2009 when I decided to take a huge leap of faith and follow my heart. With a simple camera and a laptop, I said goodbye to the corporate world and became a professional photographer and never looked back.

For the past 8 years, the focus of this website was to share my photography and include you in the growth and evolution of my career. My work has been featured in Style Me Pretty, Vogue Italia, The Knot Magazine, and other prominent industry websites and publications. For most of my 30’s, my life was my career and my career my life. And then suddenly it all changed.

I am now a wife and mother — 2 roles I never thought I would step into let alone embrace as much as I have. After solely focusing on being a photographer and building my brand and my business, it now also includes building and nurturing our family. As my life and my roles have changed so has my voice and that voice will be taking this site down a fresh, new path.

My life isn’t perfectly curated but it certainly is real. I’m far from being perfect and will never pretend to be but I will always be open and honest about my views and experiences, my successes and failures. More than anything I’d love to learn and grow with other strong women and mothers and hopefully even be of help and support to those who are embarking on a similar adventure.

I can’t thank you enough for your support and for wanting to join me on my new journey. It’s been so much fun having all of you be a part of it and being able to share these new experiences with you. Thank you to those who have been with me since the beginning 8 years ago and thank you to those who may have recently discovered this website and decided to come along for the ride. Thank you for embracing this new chapter in my life and for allowing me to continue to do what I love. I look forward to sharing more about my life as a wife, new mother, photographer, entrepreneur, and of course blogger.

P.S. My husband Christopher and I live in Los Angeles with our 6 month old son River (our rainbow baby) and our furbaby Miles. Most days you’ll find me balancing my #bosslife with #homelife and loving every minute of it!

Still curious? Here are 5 random facts about me!

  1. Christopher and I eloped in March 2016. It was just me, him, and our officiant on the helipad of our DTLA apartment building. We also took our own wedding photos.
  2. I broke my right arm during a rollerblading accident. The bone didn’t heal correctly so my right wrist is crooked.
  3. My dream job would be naming paint or nail polish colors.
  4. When I was really young, I was obsessed with Sound of Music and Mary Poppins and for the longest time I didn’t realize it was Julie Andrews in both movies.
  5. I firmly believe in the power of naps.

Hey, you’re still here! Cool! Let’s connect!

Gosh don’t apologize, it was a heart-warming 30 minutes! (But let’s pretend it wasn’t so the frozen yogurt making up thing can still happen!)
