We recently finished putting together our baby registry and one of the things I spent a lot of time researching were breast pumps. My goal is to breast feed our baby and I would also like to pump so others (ie: Christopher) can help with feedings.* When I heard about the Lansinoh SmartPump, I immediately knew this would be the right pump for me.
What I love about the SmartPump is that it connects to my iPhone via Bluetooth and automatically records pumping sessions with their free app. You can use the app to track and record feedings (both via breast and bottle), pumpings, as well as diaper changes and baby’s growth. I don’t know about you but my life is pretty much integrated with my phone so having this feature seemed like an obvious necessity for me.
The pumps and accessories that are all included.
Another feature to note is that the Lansinoh pumps are the only pumps with three pumping styles and eight adjustable suction levels which allows you to select the setting that works best for you. Their closed-system design reduces the number of parts to clean and prevents bacteria and mold growth (they’re also BPA and BPS free). The pumps and parts are also pretty compact so it’s easy for working moms and moms on-the-go to tote around (tote and insulated cooler bag is included).
I’m so glad I have one less thing to research and think about for the baby. I’ll write a follow-up review once Baby Lance is here and I can really test it out but I thought I’d share about the SmartPump now for my fellow expectant moms so you can check it out and add it to your registry, as well. Hopefully this will be one less thing for you to think about, too! ;)
* My current plan is to breast feed but I do know anything is possible when it comes to your baby and your body so I do have an open mind about it. Fed is best, right? :)
(Thank you to Lansinoh for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions in this post are entirely my own.)
